1st day

how in the world did this summer go so fast!!! today my girls left me to start their first day at west weber elementary. this is a new school for them this year and they were really excited. this is also the first time they get to ride the bus to school, which has caused me to have some panic attacks as i remember the good old days when i rode the bus and how much i really did not like it. but it is a new adventure for them and i hyped it up as much as i could while deep down inside i have been bawling for a week. i really don't look forward to the first day with excitement like they do. i really love having them around me and running around like maniacs all day and just being here, but now i get to have my boys with me and as much as christian thinks this might not be so fun to have boring mom playing with him more than the girls, i will like having the time with him because he will leave me soon enough!

nadya starts the 2nd grade and she got mrs. martini and we are sooo excited about that. her classroom is near hannah's and so she felt a little relieved to know that her big sis was close by, just in case. she doesn't really know too many kids her age yet, but hopefully she will break out of her shell and really find her way this year.

somehow i blinked and hannah is starting the 5th grade! she thinks she is a total tween and had all this jewerly laid out and wanted to wear lip gloss and brent put the brakes on all but a necklace and earrings. she wants to be big already, but maybe we can hold her back just a little longer. her teacher is mrs. peterson and hannnah's grandpa blanch taught school with her back in the day and so she was excited to have hannah in her class this year. there are a lot of girls hannah's age in this area and hannah already knows most of them so i am not too worried about my little social butterfly finding her way!

they were so embarrassed that i brought my camera to the bus stop (what a nerdy mom!!) but i managed to catch a quick photo of them getting on before they could run too fast. won't they be surprised when i show up at the bus stop after school to take one of them getting off so i can at least see their faces!! how totally embarrassing for my kids to have me as their mom!!! i love 'em!!!

Eric was getting sick of me and my picture taking at his graduation deal. These things are important! Sheesh. Pretty sure my kids will feel the same way. What cute girls!
