well we have returned from sunny california a little more colored than when we left and a whole lot more tired as well, but that just means that we had a ton of fun! we went to newport beach with lynn and kate and their fun gang (they have 5 kids and we have the 4, so if you can add them all up, yes my friends that equals 9 kids!!!). two of the guys that work with lynn and brent came too and so even with the extra 3 adults, the kids still outnumbered us. but all of them were so great, they just played in the sand then the water and then the sand and then the water, and on and on it went all day long. they boogie boarded and built sand castles and buried each other on the beach and just had a great time hanging out with their cousins! i had a great time just sitting and watching them play, i read my book and got a great tan in the process. brent perfected his form on the boogie board with lynn and the other boys and it was harder to get them off the beach than it was the little boys!! lynn and kate were so great to invite us and i know that they need the time off from us to recover, but they are awesome and we love hanging out with them.
we were so happy to go on a great vacation, but we are grateful to be home and now the kids are gearing up for the next adventure that awaits them.......SCHOOL!!!!
