audie and i took the all the kids mini golfing one day a few weeks ago and it was alot of fun. nadya kicked our trash with two holes in one. i got one hole in one, but it meant nothing!! the babies ended up watching from the sideline the whole time and hated every minute of it. they had fun and now want to go back to do the slick track and laser tag with their dad. maybe soon!!
audie could smell her own sweet success, too bad i kicked her trash all over that mini golf course!! rematch anyone?
the kids also had swimming lessons at karen's for 2 weeks. i forgot my camera/video camera everyday that we were there. karen is a miracle worker!! hannah already was a fish and she just needed a few things worked out in her technique, but by the end of the 2 weeks she was diving off the diving board and going off the slide. she even impressed us all by jumping off the high dive at the north shore swim pool at the hancock family party. what a daredevil!!! nadya began her swimming lessons refusing to put her head under the water and soon enough she was going down the slide and giving hannah a run for her money in races from one end to the other. even christian turned into a little fish. he really just wanted to jump off the edge everyday and dive for the rings at the bottom. maybe next time he will perfect his technique in the pool and not just looking cool for the little ladies in his class. what a swooner!!
i also had the great opportunity of attending cub scout camp with 8 overly antsy 8 and 9 yr olds for the day last week. brent and i became cub scout leaders and this was my initiation. what a day. those boys wore me out. i am not looking forward to christian becoming their age. lets just say that next year is brent's turn to wrestle those boys for the day!!
